Veridium, a biometric authentication solution provider, recently announced that a multinational Swiss bank is going to deploy their VeridiumID platform across the entire enterprise. The bank is expecting that this step will bring a convenient, secure and fast identity verification.
The bank adopts Veridium’s single-step, multi-factor biometric authentication that will allow them to authenticate users seamlessly without any use of passwords, token or swipe cards to connect to Microsoft Active Directory and Citrix environments.
James Stickland, the CEO of Veridium said that,
“Financial service companies around the globe need the strongest cybersecurity possible to protect confidential and valuable information, all while making their workforce more productive,”
“This global customer win is a true testament to the need for stronger and more user-friendly authentication in the financial services industry. Using Veridium’s platform, the only things your employees need to protect their data are their smart phones and biometrics – cutting the total cost of ownership of traditional two-factor authentication (2FA) solutions while increasing security”, he added.
Password reset is a hectic job and companies spend a huge amount of time and money for this traditional method for a long time. With the help of Veridium’s software-only platform, the bank employees can be logged-in from anywhere with their username and biometrics only.
This attempt will surely reduce the expense of password reset and growing help desk calls. Also, it will increase the employee productivity by a large margin.
Veridium has upgraded their VeridiumID platform about a year ago to support biometric authentication via mobile apps, and also after a month they added Citrix Cloud and other Azure Active Directory apps to support their platform.
Now the platform is capable of performing biometric matching either the server or the user’s device, depending on the client’s requirements. Also, they added behavioral analytics to provide additional security.
Veridium was selected by Nordea, a Swedish bank to provide biometric authentication solution for the bank employees in February 2018.
